I had the pleasure of spending the Valentine’s Evening interviewing Ben Butterworth, who has recently finished his term as Chair of London Young Labour (LYL). Ben is a journalist at Pink News and has a wealth of media and political experience.

I wanted to hear Ben’s reflections on his time as LYL Chair, which was a year during which Ben’s leadership of the organisation was often attacked on a factional and personal basis. In the two-part podcast below, you will hear Ben and I discussing the way forward for youth politics in the Labour Party.

We also discuss Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign, the future of Britain and Europe and, of course, the future of the Labour Party. Like our first guest, Tom Miller, Ben has very strong views about the direction of travel Labour needs to take, as well as its prospects for survival.

I hope you enjoy listening!
