Theresa May has this morning called a general election, to be held on June 8th. The Tories are expected to make significant gains and possibly to alter the British political landscape in their favour for a generation.

Make no mistake: if this comes to pass, it will be a disaster for our country.

In spite of everything that has passed since the last general election, there is only one party which has at its core the best interests of the British people: the Labour Party.

For our party is the greatest force for social justice in our nation’s history. It has advanced the cause of millions in the past. It will do so again. With your vote.

In the days and weeks that come, this website will set out the many reasons why Labour remains the best choice for the many, not the few.

And whatever comes to pass as a result of the general election, this website will continue to make the case for a revival of social democracy in this country. For that is what this country so badly, urgently needs.

On June 8th, vote Labour, and do so with pride.
